ADDER’s Command and Control switch with RS-232 for use with USB peripherals and audio

The CCS4USB switch is a new milestone in command and control switching that can deliver bi-directional audio, True Emulation technology and USB 2.0. This switch can be used with  DVI, DisplayPort, VGA and other formats, so it is video independent. It allows users to work with all four screens and computers as though they were a one interface.

The unique True Emulation technology engineered by Adder allows a reliable and instantaneous hotkey switching, and it also supports extra features and keys for enhanced mice and keyboards. The CCS4USB has two independently switchable Hi Speed USB 2.0 channels and audio channel which gives users  flexibility attaching selected peripherals to different computers.

Free Flow Technology

Automated switching for mouse, which works with CCS4USB allows users to switch between target computers automatically, simply by placing the mouse pointer from one screen onto another.

True Emulation USB 2.0 technology

The ADDER’s advanced True USB Emulation technology is featured for the first time by Command and Control CCS4USB switch. Emulated USB makes mouse and keyboard hotkey switching possible and provides reliable and instantaneous switching action. The previous implementations have only been able to support the basic mouse and keyboard features, by using only generic emulations. The True Emulation technology overcomes this limitation by simultaneously emulating the true character of the connected devices to all the computers. Now users can use the extra function keys, buttons, controls, and wheels that are commonly found an modern mice and keyboards.

Independent simultaneous device selection

One of the important keys of CCS4USB is flexibility. This switch allows to use mouse and keyboard on one computer, while USB peripherals are connected to other computers and speakers are connected to another. All the connected devices can be switched to any of the connected computers.

Channel selection options

The CCS4USB switch can be controlled by using 3 button mice, front panel controls or selectable keyboard hotkeys.RC4 remote switch can be used optionally to make selections. These switching options allow users to quickly reassign any connected device to any of the connected computers.

Broad USB 2.0 Hi Speed device support

Users can connect a wide range of the USB devices to the CCS4USB, such as printers, scanners and non standard human interface devices. With the flexibility this gives, users can be scanning documents onto one computer, while working at the other computer, and printing on another at the same time. To ensure a maximum reliability when connecting and disconnecting USB devices, the USB 2.0 switching action has been designed.

Options port for control and upgrade

An “Options” port allows the CCS4USB to be switched remotely by using ASCII codes. This port enables a four button RC4 switch unit to be used together with CCS4USB. This port can also be used for firmware upgrade.

Three New Automation and Control Systems Using Wi-Fi-Enabled Tablets and Phones introduced by Gefen

The new automation systems, designed by Gefen, are versatile and may be used in a wide variety of settings. They provide a comprehensive method of controlling every audio/video device in a setup and additional features such as HVCA control and lighting

Professional Automation Control System (PACS)

The PACS simplifies the control of switchers, distribution amplifiers, HDTV displays, scalers and more, with three RS-232, ten contact closures and eight IR emitters from a central interface. A/V devices equipped with RS-232 or IR can be efficiently accessed by this control system. Volume levels, on/off power and video distribution can be controlled via IP with a simple web interface. Users can access A/V systems from anywhere using their computers or laptops. Pre-configured commands can be memorized by storing IR commands in PACS. This feature makes it simple to automate and centralize A/V devices.

Mini Professional Automation Control System (Mini PACS)

The Mini PACS system has the same features as the PACS, but it is scaled down and can be wall mounted having one RS-232, two relay closures and three IR emitters. This is perfect solution for A/V setups where equipment may not be installed in a single rack, and a great choice for distributed systems that may require a cost-effective anytime/anywhere access.

Gefen Audio/Video Automation System (GAVA)

GAVA can work together with PACS, which gives an option to control all key A/V features in a home with an additional feature to automate HVAC, lighting and more just by using tablet or smart phone. GAVA allows control via an interface that can work with all tablets and smart phones, while PACS can be pre-programmed to store all RS-232 and IR commands for connected devices. It is optimized to work with Android, iPhone and iPad as the control devices. Users can control any connected device from anywhere through their tablets or smart phones when GAVA is working together with PACS. This control system is also very easy to program with a help of an intuitive configurator process which can be managed  by anyone in minutes. Therefore integrators and installers can easily demonstrate and sell this system because of its plug and play design. Quick and simple setup without a training and extensive programming is possible with its user-friendly interface. It also doesn’t require Internet access for configuration or use, even though it is designed to work on network.

Gefen announces new devices to extend DVI over Fiber Optic cable

Gefen, the digital connectivity solutions provider, recently announced the shipping of new DVI over fiber extenders.  Three out of four new devices use small, modular  sender and receiver, that can be a lightweight and efficient solution for streamline installations. Fourth device features the traditional rack mount sender and receiver for units for KVM extension. In applications where electromagnetic interference would be an issue or when several extenders are used in tight spaces, the use of fiber optic cable would be an ideal.

DVI Extender 1FO  DVI-CP-FM10

The pig-tail sender and receiver that take up little space are used in this extender, which is able to extend DVI up to 1000ft, using one strand fiber optic cable terminated in SC. 1920×1200 high resolution video is supported by this unit. Constant sync of the display and the video source is provided by Virtual EDID programming. This DVI unit is interchangeable with HDCP-compliance and with HDMI.

DVI 1FO Extender  DVI-FM15

Reliable method of connecting DVI directly at the display and source is provided by these two small sender and receiver units. 1920×1200 high resolution video can be extended up to 328ft, using single-mode fiber optic cable or up to 1640ft using a multi-mode fiber optic cable. More robust solution than existing products that support same distances is provided by die-cast modules.

DL DVI 2FO Extender DVI-FM2500

The two small sender and receiver modules connect directly to the DVI connectors at the display and source. Dual link DVI with resolutions up to 3840×2400 can be extended up to 1640ft employing two multi-mode fiber optic cables terminated at SC. This would be an ideal solution for an alternative methods of dual link DVI extension for long distances.

DVI-3600HD

The DVI-3600HD is a KVM over fiber extender is capable of sending RS-232,DVI, USB 2.0 and audio for up to 1640ft using four strands of multi-mode fiber optic cable. All signals are being transmitted via the same cable making this device convenient for professional applications. This extender is an upgrade of DVI-3500HD and can support USB 2.0 devices. For more convenience this unit is rack mountable.
