The 1x4 3G-SDI Distribution Amplifier allows a single SDI, HD-SDI or 3G-SDI video source to be distributed to (without loss of signal) four HD SDI/HDSDI/3GSDI devices at the same time. Crisp, highly defined visuals are generated in NTSC or PAL formats supporting Standard and High Definition resolutions to 1080p Full HD.
SDI
SDI (Serial Digital Interface), used primarily in broadcasting, relays high quality digital video through special connectors. There are 3 grades of SDI: Standard Definition SDI (SDI), High Definition SDI (HD-SDI, peaking at 1080i), and the new high-data-transmission 3G-SDI, allowing a much greater throughput and resolution than ever before (1080p) in one small cable rather than the two-cable solution formerly required with HD-SDI at 1080p.
How It Works
You simply connect your SDI source to the 1x4 3G SDI Splitter input, then connect its outputs to your SDI Devices. Once the source, the SDI devices and the Splitter are powered and connected, your source's video will be distributed simultaneously in pristine color and detail.
Note: Gefen's 1x4 3G-SDI Splitter is backwards compatible with all Gefen legacy SDI equipment and signal types.
